I def see a Cody vs Walter feud in the midfle of the year after that timeline.
 
I'm hoping it's Jey Uso. Prior to the Bloodline you could never convince me that Jey Uso would look like a main eventer, but he's become everything I thought Tama Tonga would be as a singles wrestler, though he just doesn't seem to have that level of in-ring ability. Jey has become a standout performer on the mic and in-ring. Even the general mannerisms. He and Roman went to a new level with the Bloodline angle.
 
Cody makes the most since and him winning it finally would also probably give us the best, genuine crowd reaction because of his story. I think he wins it and then Brock beat his ass at like Summerslam or something. If not Lesnar then WALTER fasho.

Jey would be a good pick but unfortunately i dont think they gonna let him be the guy cause this story is major and the person who beats Roman need to be somebody who they can bank on in the main event going forward. I mean im not saying they he couldn't hang but of everybody named him and Sami are the two with the least amount of experience in the main event, so..
 
And this isn't me ruling Jey out of the world title picture cause I mean his chances of chasing after the big one are that much better now under HHH who im sure has noticed his performance these past 2 years. Its just I dont think he'll be the one to dethrone Roman. Shit he could be a good first opponent for Cody if he does end up doing it tho. The story will already be planted

god no keep Brock all the way out the paint. As much as I’d be entertained seeing Brock wash Cody he doesn’t need to be near the title picture ever again

I’m definitely here for GUNTHA / Cody that shit gives me Rocky / Drago vibes
 
Nobody makes sense at the point…he’s been too strong and has no real feud going on.

Sammy would be weird, for real

Cody is a meh..im not 100% on him being the guy to beat him but whatever. At this point I don’t care who does it..

and yea , as long as the story is good why not? Cody is one of those guys who probably shouldnt hold the title too long because the crowd will end up turning on him just like they did Cena. Give him a few months as champ and then you have a top heel dethrone him so he can chase again for a while before having a second reign

Ending someone's long reign to only be a transitional champion doesn't make sense
 
Either Seth Rollins or a true dawg like Walter is the only 2 answers..... any nigga who says Cody Average Rhodes is emotional & probably was breastfed too long in life.

I wouldn't be mad at if it's Jey. Would make a lot of sense.

But a Cody vs Walter feud is something that's solid gold.

Ooooo...can you imagine the slap Walter gives on Cody's repaired pec??? Geezus. Imma pray for the brotha if that happened
 
Ironically, Cody is in the exact position that Roman was in before his first WM main event. Roman was also hurt during the fall and then came back just to win the Rumble.

I think without the build up Cody risks the same rejection that Roman faced then. Instead just have money in the bank at Mania night 1, so there's a new threat to Roman added to the mix.
