I just did some digging. The company I interviewed for, Community Connect, which owns blackplanet is now owned by Urban One which makes them technically black owned but I'd be interested to see the details of that deal.
CCI wasn't black owned or even black staffed and probably crumbled due to internal issues because apparently their culture was as toxic as I felt it was after my interviews there and meeting the executive team...
