I'm not bitter because that simply isn't true.

But lately I've been hearing teenagers say they think Pac and Big and Wu Tang sound dated.

People relate more to the music that is current to them.

If you grew up listening to Run-DMC, Sugar Hill gang is gonna sound dated to you.

If you grew up listening to Wu-Tang, Run - DMC is gonna sound dated to you.

If you grew up listening to Migos, Wu-Tang is gonna sound dated to you.

Nothing is wrong with this. It's human nature.

Its a sound that nobody uses today, for example Michael jackson or Jackson 5 will never sound dated and will still get a party going.

Same with music of the 90s, but early 80s didn't age well with the flow or the chopped up beats.

Same reason disco won't work today and sounds dated

Because we don't use the same elements today.
But no diggity doesn't sound outdated and a lot of rnb songs use the same elements and sound today.
