I see y'all like it better than me. It wasn't bad tho I'll see what a 2nd listen do. 777 was the worst track but I still was grooving to it. Off 1 listen it's a solid lp.
I had a Spotify subscription with my wife, and I still bought the album to my iTunes library.
I got like three playlists I can put some of these jawns in.
Blast Off has been on REPEAT all day. I really need an HBCU band to play that shit. Hell, for the right opportunity, I'd arrange that song my damn self, with all the modulations +1 one more just to stunt on a muhfucka. This shit is BOSS.
Don't know if it's been said, but what's slick is how this album is actually a story from beginning to end.
"Intro" is... well... the introduction.
"Leave The Door Open" is boy meets girl.
"Fly As Me" is the date.
"After Last Night" is the smash.
"Smoking Out the Window" is the breakup.
"Put On A Smile" is catching feelings.
"777" shaking those feelings off.
"Skate" is getting your mack back on.
"Blast Off" is meeting a new girl to try again.
