I hate to say it and I don’t know much about the Stapleton guy but his song is better. However there’s been cases where the better song loses to a more popular song or a bigger hit. But that energy wasn’t kept in this situation.

I don't like either one because I don't care for country to be honest. I will say that the Stapleton song sounds like a country song where the Shaboozey song sounds like one of those goofy rap/country hybrids that they were trying to push a while ago. Maybe the country purists that give the awards don't like that shit. Jelly Roll used to do that Hick Hop shit, but when he won all those awards, it was some pure country shit though slightly more listenable.
