Better RnB Producer?

It might as well be MJ vs Babyface, cuz that's all niggas are basing their votes on and MJ also produced most of the classic songs on those albums.

If I wasn't allowed to use Puff in the Hip Hop producer tournament cuz he "didnt play instruments" then foh with Quincy Jones, especially when MJ produced most of the shit.

Hol up, Babyface made this shit too?

If we're keeping this shit a buck, this aint close. Outside of MJ who produced half the shit himself, QJ hasn't really done shit in RnB. Babyface made hits for every fuckin body.

@Goldie

The problem is that you're too young to remember when Quincy Jones was pumping out hits and his music was getting played 20x per day.

I'm on my phone but give me a few hours and I'll post some stuff that your parents used to jam to.

Mind you, Thriller wasn't the beginning or middle of his career, Thriller was toward the end of his career.

So why y'all put Jones as a RnB producer? Since its only MJ cuts you familiar with?

A better and more interesting 'vs' should've been R. Kelly v Babyface... Both were at their primes about the same time as singers and producers...

@5 Grand
Rock Steady is shit my parents jammed to lol

I've been waiting for yall to drop these classic rnb tracks that Quincy produced without MJ and a list of garbage was dropped with only 2 notable songs and 1 of those songs wasn't produced by Jones.

Marvin produced What's Going On, not Quincy.

It's a tournament and Jones made it to this round. You've been here long enough to know this.

A lot of these cuts posted by Q were way before my time

I have a couple Q albums on my streaming account but hardly ever play them shits

I listen to alot of music before my time. I have alot of James Browns playlists, classics from the 60s and 70s, I even got some frankie lymon and Louis Jordan shit from the 40s and 50s. I know music.

Jones' overall catalog in multiple genres is extensive, but in rnb alone? He's not even top 3.

This is like voting Kanye the Goat RnB producer.
