Blueprint is losing

Blueprint is the only Jay album other than Reasonable Doubt that I consider classic material, but I still like Stillmatic better. That said, I tend to think people consistently overrate Jay's albums. His singles are always really strong but the albums as a whole are never that great.

funny i feel the exact same way about nas..

dude got some really good music, natural dope flow....thought provoking n all that...

he just always fell a little flat imo in comparison to jay big pac and even X...his persona was always just a bit more toned down, a bit more quiet..

belly portrays it perfectly, sincere is mellow and a laid back personality vs while bunz is being more in your face with it....

i feel like nas was always tim duncan with the flow....jay's more of a showman.....jay kobe bryant dunks in your face and taunts you...that grabs me

i like jay's albums because of the presentation, the arrogance of it all.....it's not just song after song, he tries to create something special...black album was my personal favorite, but blueprint is very close behind, cuz this was jay during the period he was at his best imo..

i always liked nas, but he never made the kind of impression on me that jay made, these two albums are a picture perfect example of that sentiment
