😢 lol they should’ve followed the lead the Voltron and released the movie on Amazon or Netflix or something. Or made it a live action series.
 
Scary Movie 2 is only 13% on RT and that movie is arguably better than the first so yeah…

Saw this last night at a late showing, and I feel some of the jokes were holdovers from what they probably planned to do before the franchise was taken from them. Wazzup and Worldstar jokes... in 2026? It watched like a warm-up to something funny. Shawn's parts were funny. Marlon struggled to me. Regina Hall had spots. Anna Farris I still find funny, but the new girl who was playing her daughter and trying to imitate her throughout? Atrocious. If anything, it was a good way to highlight what Anna does is her own unique thing that seems easy but isn't.

That whole Teyana Taylor sequence was unnecessary. Regina Hall's yams in the last sequence needed butter... that is all. Thank you.
 
Thirteen years after the first Scary Movie the reigns have been returned to the Wayans Brothers who go to the storage bin of gags while inserting a laundry list of pop culture and current events to make fun of. I thought the best parts of the movie were the sight gags using illustrations, animation, physical comedy and accidents. Some gags overstay their welcome big time plus theres a cringey and embarrassing vibe to some of the gags. The cast gives it their all but I found myself easily distracted waiting for the film to be far more humorous.

Further proof that The Next Friday After Next is going to be us suffering thru watching 60 year old acting like gotdamn 20 something’s.

If cube were smart he would be learning from everything that has happened since Bill&Ted: FTM and just make Craig, Smokie and DayDay some cantankerous old fucks trying to fight some zombie/alien/pigeon flu apocalypse while trying to get back from the dispensary.

Anything else will absolutely suck.
