Meh, Doesn't mean shit in the grand scheme of things but like I said they have been Queens in Ethiopia before. So, celebrating a woman leading isn't a big deal and a democracy isn't new to the Continent anyhow. I just don't care about seeing shit like this because people act like Africans are behind when they got the shit from us. Take from us and repackage it and give it right back to us like its new

I get where @Olorun22 is coming from. Setting hard restrictions against women being leaders is more of a Euro thing. Many African cultures have always allowed for women to hold high titles. Ethiopia in the more distant past has been one of those cultures. That said, I don't think there is anything wrong with acknowledging that this woman is the first to be put in that position in the modern era.
