What if Bobby Griff has a retort that sounds like this:

“Mr. O’Neal, first off, I can respect what you’re doing in speaking for Ms. Reese. It’s admirable and commendable that men stick up for women in society. That being said, your threats of physical violence towards me for my opinion has taken this to a place far beyond words. And I’ll say this to you now….

If you try to harm me in any way, shape, or form, you will leave me NO choice but to defend myself, and with you, I’ll do it in a manner that you won’t appreciate. I got a girl named Big Bertha that hits much harder than you, and will end ALL of this, permanently. I don’t want to take it there, but threats against me leave me no choice but that option.

While I’ve apologized for my previous tweet towards Ms. Angel Reese, I’ll NEVER allow someone to physically attack me, so don’t force this incident to get even uglier than it’s gotten now.”

If Bobby Griff says something like THAT, then what?

But….when is that type of talk EVER acceptable in that space? Shaq took it to a whole new level.

Cmon now. Bobby didn’t threaten anyone: Resse, Clark, Shaq, no one. There’s ways to bury that clown Bobby without resorting to this low level shit.

Even still, Shaq acted like the most immature one in this situation, instead of the elder statesman he’s supposed to be.

And one of those accounts are right: what Shaq did technically constitutes as a crime, and if Bobby G wanted to, he COULD sue Shaq, or advocate that Shaq loses an endorsement or three.

Just looking at this from the Devil’s Advocate POV of things. There was/is a better way to handle this, and Dr. Bernice King showed that:
