He was gay?He must've been a strong individual. He was a black flamboyant gay Rock n Roll artist back in the 40s 50s and 60s. We celebrate him today because he's a legend but he must've gone through hell people hating on him.

Little Richard wasn't Gay.
I saw in an Interview a long time ago that he had to put on a flamboyant personality just so he could perform in front of White audiences. Back then, they wouldn't allow Artists like Jimi Hendrix and James Brown perform because they were afraid they would steal all their White Women.
But Little Richard posed no threat to them. They weren't worried about that in his case.
The look he gave when he was telling this Story could be summed up in 1 expression:
:stare:
Little Richard was definitely gay, Ok maybe bisexual cause he also had experience with women. I believe he was married to a woman at one point for a short period of time. Anyways, his father kicked him out of the house at age 14 or 15 because Richard was wearing his mother’s clothes and makeup and he didn't want a gay son. The flamboyant part was not an act, that was all him. He has admitted he always felt more like a woman in many ways. I believe he couldn't be open about his sexual preference because homosexuality was not only against the law for most of his life it was also considered a mental illness. An artist couldn't be open back then. In the 60s he was arrested for having sex with a man in a restroom, everybody understood dude was gay. A man who looked and carried himself like that during that time must've been diffiicult.
His biggest hit "Tutti Frutti" is even a gay anthem. The original lyrics he wrote was about anal sex between two men but they had to change the lyrics because radio would not play something like that in the 1950s. He has confessed to be gay during the 90s. He has even described himself as "omnisexual" but he has also condemn homosexuality. I guess you can say he's a bit confused but do I believe he was gay? Absolutely and so do most people.
Little Richard was gay and claimed to be that way all of his life at first.
And yes, a gay black man can still be seen as a threat to white supremacy.
So it does explain the extra flamboyant stuff.
But he was also married and later on himself declared homosexuality was unnatural.
Then he claimed he was no longer gay after turning to religion.
Personal issues I don't care to understand, but it's there.
The controversy will probably get brought up now to shit on his legacy.
But none of it takes away from the musical contribution he made.
