Definitely a champion for civil rights. I think he showed his strengths as far as being diplomatic and a great negotiatior when he negotiated the release of hostages in Syria, Iraq, and Kosovo. One of the strongest speakers ever especially at the Democratic conventions. Remember when he yelled Stay Out The Bushes at the 2000 Democratic Convention? Hilarious. Rest Well.
