we grew up in the same households lol
If I don't care.... The world definitely will not.
The world is not interested in talking to my son. Seeing what is wrong with him. Nor will they help him through it. That's my job.
If my son is depressed and acts out in it. Even at 7. They will label him and try to lock him up as soon as possible.
As a parent. Imma talk to him
I just think the entire perspective is different when you got kids who with the shits...Much respect fam.
This was a dope post. Can't stress how important this is.
but thats not depressed...thats your child maybe being too emphatic....and thats ok...shows me my child is not cold hearted. but seeing someone else go thru something should be a teaching point on being thankful and how we are all not the same but doesnt mean we are bad people but some people have legit frustrations and dont know how to handle it. already had this type of talk with my niece.Like you ever see a kid in a certain living situation and as an adult..... It fucks with you.
Like you feel like you should do something for this kid... But don't know where to begin.
Imagine that kid is your friend, and you're only like 8 or 9.
How do you emotionally process that? How do you as a child understand that your friends parents don't give a fuck about them.
Don't ignore your kids when they say they depressed..... Hear that shit out.. Just cuz they ain't got bills don't mean they ain't got issues
It's like the thing that happens to psychology students. Learning about mental illness leads you to self identify. It's even worse when met with individuals who have an undeveloped sense of self. They super identify with things that resemble something close to what they feel.Real talk...
I was watching something on a British channel an they said they thinking of regulating the internet to stop pics related to depression
They feel it helps influence the kids to hurt themselves.
And that falls unto the parent educating their child and teaching them to think and feel for themselves. It's like the thing that happens to psychology students. Added to that, most of us who grew up in harsher areas gained an understanding of how fucked life can be. But growing up in it, though it damaged us. Also instilled a harder shell for the ills of the world. You take the internet giving children access to a world they just see and dont experience. They become shell shocked and over sensitive, with thoughts, notions, and feelings that dont readily apply to their daily lives.
It's that sense to belong, a kid like XXX has depression and a drug problem. He speaks on problems with his upbringing. These kids identify with it, say I'm not entirely happy with my upbringing, I have sad days, I must be just as depressed as he is. They dont know that actually experiencing what he experienced is alot different than something that they believe is "like" what he experienced.
To start the year I did a goal book with my two oldest. I explained what goals where and how they are important to your self worth. I did short term goals and long term goals, so they can get an understanding that some things can be done now and some things take patience and work ethic. And that falls unto the parent educating their child and teaching them to think and feel for themselves.
The need to fit in is correct....a lot of us been there and that's why we should be able to see it in its infancy and take measures to prevent it.
I see too many parents out living their own lives or trying to keep a marriage together and not worried about the child or even overcompensating with things with no quality or meaning.
I was a very nosey parent. And I didn't care. Why should I, growing up in the hood showed me a lot. Why allow your child to be the cause or victim of fuck shit if you can prevent it?
Well IP Jr., lemme ask you this...
You got a job?
You got bills?
You paying a mortgage?
You got a car note?
You got kids you need to clothe, feed, and keep a roof over their heads?

Very coolTo start the year I did a goal book with my two oldest. I explained what goals where and how they are important to your self worth. I did short term goals and long term goals, so they can get an understanding that some things can be done now and some things take patience and work ethic.
My oldest said her long term this goal is to have a YouTube channel of her playing games. I said ok, but heres what you have to do for me to get the stuff u need for it. I want the game u YouTube about to be a game that isn't popular on YouTube. I want you to be able to understand the game throughly and be able to speak about it with clarity and knowledge.
I told her there is no point in doing something just to be like everyone else. If you are going to do something that alot of people are doing. Do it to stand out and and Express yourself. So even if you dont get alot of views. The people that view it, like it because they like how you are doing it. Not just cause they like what you are doing it about.
This is not funny but I laughed.Wanna know how my family reacted
