Yeah, bullets whistle with Jay Rock was hard..even took shots
That desert eagle filled with hollows
If you holler when it hollers
Hit yo ass from top to bottom
Bullets whistle like harmonicas
Still bein in corners with my knockas sippin vodka
I'm on fire like when I raised the gauge up
Just like thermoters
Leanin in that testarosa, smokin on this cali doja
You don't want to test my holster centre fold ya
Got some biggerous niggaz to smoke ya
Who da bang, black mask, black gloves
Bullets with no names
It's not a game on this eastside
Watts city it's no pity for weak guys
Chopper city bein holdin semis since I was knee high, no lie
Hit your block in a g ride, and let it whistle [Gunshot] For sound see the spark roaches scatter
Hit a melody when them bullets travel
Put you under the gravel for that pussy shit
I'm a dog you get fucked thinkin I'm pussy bitch
I'm a hog
It's UGK, the epitome of underground southern hip-hop. I love this album. The production, lyrics, & as always the trill content that comes with it. When I jog on Saturday mornings, I throw this album in my headphone chamber & be zoned out.
You know that I'm going to drop my niggas from my home state. "See in Tennessee, we rather die a soldier than live as a coward". This was the album that put me on to them. When one day I heard one of my best friends playing this album. I said "who's that?". He told me then it was on after that. From first to last song are straight crunk action. This album had me so buck in grade school. A nigga really got hypnotized by their music. Some niggas in school used to call me Three 6 because niggas know that imma come back with their newest album the next day at school
One of the most underrated duos ever. They were once compared to Outkast, as the Alabama version of Outkast. This album is so chill mane with dope flows & lyrics gelling over smooth beats. I miss music like this. No turn up music, no trendy pop music. Just real music that rap about the struggle & paint a perspective of how Alabama is. Tracks like The Pimp & Gangsta and Ride are some music to ride to forever. If I smoked then those songs will put me in a mellow zone. Dirty were another group that appreciates old school whips especially Cadillac
Another underground classic. Prime Pastor Troy was dope af as a storyteller. Tracks like Ain't No Sunshine is a classic storytelling track & vivid imo.
Field Mob from the 229. Along with Dirty, one of the most underrated duos in hip-hop history. Smoke & Shawn J are also one of the best punchline & metaphor rappers imo. I remember when one of my childhood friends had this album & I didn't know who they were. He gave me their album & told me that them niggas be going off.. I looked at their album cover, I thought nothing of it. I'm thinking it's going to be aight. I kept the album in my cd book for several months. One day, I pop their album in my cd player & them niggas were flowing. Been a fan ever since.
What's crazy yet dope about this is that all these albums came out almost around the same time.
My list is so southern that it should come with a plate of fish & grits. Dope thread @genocide_cutter
