It kills me that people actually use that as a defense. The fact that the super wealthy pay such a low effective tax rate but still pay most of the taxes in the country just goes to show how messed up the wealth gap is. Of course, they pay most of the taxes. They have most of the money. That doesn't change the fact they don't pay what they're supposed to pay.
