RIP he had some talent

Silver, I'm asking a legitimate question and I hope it's received as such.

How do you define talent? Each time one of these young men loses their life to the things they rap about, you say that had talent.

What exactly were they talented at in your opinion?

This isn't a gotcha or anything, I legitimately want to know.

What ever happened to the musicians, producers, recording artists, entertainers, etc in the hip hop game?

Now, it’s just a buncha gang-bangers pretending to be rappers.

WTF happened?

Lol the first rappers were gang members so I say it's sticking to the origins.

I defined talent with the ability to rap with consistent flow, cadence, or even some forms of song writing (bars or story telling)

The new game is lacking in the song writing aspect heavy, and other factors are heavily focused on ( flow, ability to use their voice as instruments like their era goats like Thug or Future).

The freestyle he did showed some promise to keep a consistent flow while making shit make sense which surprisingly alot of aspiring rappers now are not able to do now. Some consider this the new age version of "snapping" in a song that's popular with rappers like Lil Baby who may not be the most lyrical artist (bars, double entendre, etc.) But he can go on in on flowing with energy and delivery with consistency.

That's what homie was doing.

Hip hop standards is different now, one of the bare minimums to become "something" he showed the ability to to do and possibly perfect if he didn't end in a tragic way.

He just like the music bro lol that’s like asking you why you like No Limit in the 2000s

But you also said drill music doesn’t influence murder so which one is it?

i feel like all them drill rappers woulda got killed without the music tho. Maybe I shoulda phrased it better but something made rappers feel like they couldn’t tell violent stories without living the violence. Did that come from the rap or did it come from real gangsters telling them they are fake?

Does the environment make the music or the music make the environment?
