Craig Mack, New York rapper on Diddy's Bad Boy label, dead at 46

Craig Mack, the rapper from New York who found fame on Diddy’s Bad Boy label, has died at age 46, his producer confirmed to the Daily News.

Mack, who launched to hip-hop acclaim for the best-selling summer hit “Flava in Ya Ear” in 1994, died of heart failure at a hospital near his Walterboro, S.C., home Monday.

“God bless my friend. He was a good friend of mine,” said Alvin Toney, who produced Mack’s “Project: Funk Da World.”

He visited Mack in South Carolina last week to film a documentary.

“He was prepared for whatever comes, to go home to the Lord,” Toney said. “He was prepared to do that. He wasn’t scared. He was ready.”

Naw diddy had no intentions on pushing mack career any further he had one good single and that was the remix to the original single

Mack was an MC, I think him and Biggie just didnt get along, I guess Puff was trying to work that 'BIG Mack' gimmick for aslong as possible...

But I still think Mack had more hits in him, I just dont think he suited that shinny suit era Puff was trying to push (just like The Lox)... Maybe Mack should of gone to Ruff Ryders or something, either way he could of dropped alot more heat...
