Daytona was the project that made me a fan of Push

that shit is perfect

if you havent noticed, i see a lot of artists now cutting the fat off albums and releasing short ass projects. Fire beats and bars

not saying it started with Push, but i remember the backlash he got for releasing only 7 songs for an album. That album is easily one of the best ones I've heard in the past decade

to me, its a soundtrack

almost like what Ye was trying to do with the videos he released for MBTDF

it was telling 7 different stories with the production to match. No two beats sounded the same, and i loved how they just ran into each other with no breaks, no build/lead ups, no interruptions, etc...

Production wise it was breath of fresh air ,while rest of rap was and still rapping over redundant trap beats and 808's, this album came with some fire samples.
