I grew up in Massachusetts in the 80s.
The first half of the 80s it was either LA or Boston in the finals, sometimes they played each other.
There was that one odd year in 83 when the 76ers won, but from 79-88 it was either Boston or LA.
And I used to cheer for the Lakers because the Celtics didn't have enough brothers on the team.
