Parents...Are you out here still piercing your son's ears in 2018?

Ok ap you got it. But anyway people like to wear things that look nice. Earrings look nice to people its one of those simple things with simple answers. Nobody out here saying it levels them up or anything its just an accessory.
Cool

I asked a question

ya'll answered

this wasnt an indictment on niggas with earrings

you mentioned it was an accessory...cool

Well the whole level up thing confused me. Like it more critique than observation

a few people said what i thought

they saw other people with em, and wanted them

a few people also said, they got it, rocked it, then grew out of it

i'ma keep it a buck tho...i thought this would've been a fad that would've died by now. I see more and more young boys wearing them than at anytime in my life. I dont know if you need parental consent to get stuff like this done, so i was interested to see if parents are letting their young sons do this all willy nilly. Is it peer pressure? Idk

I remember we were growing up, and when hip hop videos were a dominant medium, it was in your face non stop. They influenced the athletes who then influenced the urban community or it might be a combo of the two, i dont wanna get bogged down in semantics. I just pondered are the young men today influenced by the same things that dudes in my generation were influenced by

There is a lot people who actually think earrings levels them up. I agree with you its an accessory.

Its something that was never for me but its people who actually think that shit levels them up.

i let my son get his ears pierced in the 7th grade. i let him get a tattoo at 16. only words and not a design. i got my first tattoo at the same age so i dont consider it a big deal. as long as he's handling business at school and home.

Yes

Lol

I'm not gonna dignify these with legit responses.

But let's just say I have never in my life heard a female say that the deciding factor in her attractiveness towards a dude came down to whether his ears were pierced or not

Ive never heard a man say a deciding factor in attractivness of a woman was her earings.

So why do women wear them?

Somebody just said it made them feel fly or added to them feeling fly or some shit

i just dont feel like its something to be concerned with in 2018.....of all things

I got mine pierced as a young teen, all my daughters were done @ 6 months, im sure I'd wait on a boy but I wouldnt have a problem with it at any age

lil shits about to start coming out with dreads and face tats....not trippin on piercings

i gotta expect it for one having girls....plus both their parents have piercings and tats

I wear mine because I like how they look on me.

Just like black socks or no socks (donā€™t wear white socks)

I donā€™t wear things because women might like them.

Iā€™m very comfortable with myself

Thinking about getting my kids some chains and necklaces

Personally, I don't believe in wearing anything about my neck or wrist but I don't wanna push that belief down to them
