Other than a couple songs, the problem with Double Up wasn't the music.

Double Up sounds like an athlete playing his last season and not having his heart in it no more, while being frustrated w the game. That album was no where near what Harlem World was. An argument could be made, that Harlem World was one of the best debut albums in rap history and definitely the best album ever made by a Harlem rapper. Is probably the best bad boy album not made by Biggie.
And if anyone says No Way Out was better, that was basically a Mase album, as a bunch of those songs, came from Mase’s demo tape.

Damn…this is very spot on. I’ll shoot 50 some bail and say. If he kept the joints he gave Game “How We do” “Hate it or Love it” and shortened that album by 5-6 songs. Is not as good as GRODT, but it is a good album. Most importantly remove that ridiculous song he had w Eminem on it. Shit was terrible
