Old Man Cain Presents........The Quiet Storm

Funny story about this joint: I actually know Uncle Sam. We were crew back in jr high and high school. I think I might have seen dude once after high school, but we recently reconnected. He's a pastor nowadays in GA and still dabbles in music here and there. I never paid a lot of attention to this joint back in the 90's when it was hot so I never put the name and face together, but he posted it on his personal FB page some months ago and I was like "wait... that was you???".

Can't even front: As much as I like Anita, I genuinely prefer the original by Dusty Springfield.

I'd also put Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66's version over Anita's.
Sergio/Brasil 66 I get...I fux wit it (still ain't phuckin with Anita tho IMO)

But Dusty's???

Bless yo heart lol

But fr...personal taste and alladat

It's the vibe Burt Bachrach imparted on the song and how well Dusty's voice goes with it. Shit is laid back and chill as fuck. Plus, coming up in the 70's you either heard the original or Sergio Mendes' version.
