I have 3 of the purple vinyls. I had hoped to get one signed before his passing, one for loose and one for trade eventually

Yo you also need the purple tray CD with the signature, to complete your set!!! haha

Heres my OB4CL collection...

I picked up the vinyl album sampler cheap, think you can still get them for like $10-$20... For somereason I dig promo stuff, like album samplers etc

You don't need 2 of them tapes. That's just being greedy.

How much for the other one...:paid:

Ay speaking of do yall remember streets is watching the movie? Haven’t seen that in forever. I thought that was so dope when it first came out

I’d love to find a dvd of this

One of my roommates had it in '98. That videotape was the whole reason I gave Jay another shot. I didn't really fuck with dude outside of Dead Presidents 1 and 2 back then, especially after seeing the video for Sunshine in '97.

Im tempted but Im fed up getting rinsed on shipping... Everytime I buy physical media from American store, even just a CD the shipping is atleast $20-$30...

I was about to order a hard to find copy of The MD X-Spress' "Welcome 2Da Klub" 12" that has "God Made Me Phunky" on it. Ebayer from London had it for sale for 6 Pounds (about $8.00) and I was trying to get her to ship it here but it would have cost something ridiculous like almost $30 for international shipping.

I just checked and it's still there. Shipping to the US is $27.12. Maybe when I get a new gig I'll cop if it's still there 'cause that's really a must-have for me.

Man this is shaping up to be a GOAT set up...

I bet youre like a kid a Christmas arranging and putting the collection together lol cant wait to see a full shot...

I'm just getting started. 5 Years from now, I plan on having one of the best hiphop collections in world.

I'm way behind other dudes who have goat collections, but in 5 years I should have something legendary.

This might be the goat hiphop collection I've seen online, he's 20 years in the game:

Yeah international shipping has got crazy... Have you tried Discogs???

Edit: seems most of them are in the UK, which is strange:

Yeah his collection is dope, I made a thread which contained an interview with him a couple months ago:

Thats the same series I came across on YT. The whole cassette series was dope.

Yeah really cool... I need to check back and see videos hes made recently...

Have you got a tape deck or record player yet? I'm too scared to play the few tapes I've got, so never got a tape deck lol

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, ain't NOBODY here in The States trying to give up that joint! That's an absolute House classic if there ever was one. If you already have a copy in your crates, it stays there.

You'd be surprised at how much classic House and Techno vinyl goes for. I have this in my collection. It pretty much lives in my flight case despite my only ever playing it out twice.

Deepchord's DC12 release. I'm a fan of Deepchord's minimal style of Detroit Techno and I have a few of their releases. There's only six copies for sale on Discogs and of those six, only two are on white vinyl like mine:

I'm missing DC11, which is on red vinyl and there's only two copies for sale on Discogs, one for $200 and the other for $225. I've just come to terms with the fact that I'll never own that shit either, unless I'm making deep six figures or I hit the lottery.

Nah not yet. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on the Audio Technica AT-LP120 soon tho.

Nice choice, so youre going for more of a DJ turntable deck, rather than a record player...

I went with a belt driven player when sorting my set up... I've only changed the belt 2 maybe 3 times and had Ive the player for over 15 years now, so its served me well...

Im not an audiophile so it can get mad confusing... Thankfully my oldmans friend is an audio geeeeek and helped me out... He got me discounts on equiment and gave me his old Denon amps and Acoustic Energy speakers, so I proper lucked out...

I’ve watched a few videos on the best equipment for vinyl/music collections and the AT was mentioned multiple times.

Honestly tho, listening to the music in my collection is secondary for me. I’m more on the side of a Hiphop historian and collecting albums like artifacts and building a museum.
