Official 2019-2020 NBA Thread

Do you guys look at the bubble as the rookies being in their second season?

No.

It's a continuation of their rookie season. The rookies haven't even gotten a real 2nd offseason to work on areas of their game they need to improve upon. Most rookies (players in general) didn't have access to gyms during the season hiatus and a lot of them haven't really even gotten true stable housing (most are just renting apartments or condo's which usually don't have indoor basketball courts) situations in the cities they were drafted.

Not to mention the rookies didn't have a true 2nd training camp to actually try and show their coaching staffs that they deserve minutes in real NBA action over established veterans. Of course guys like Bol Bol (missed time earlier due to injuries) are looking solid to their teammates and coaching staff but their coaches most likely aren't going to bench rotation players to give these guys a real shot because they are about to fight for playoff position and a chance to make a run during the playoff stretch.
