Ultimately depends who starts beside him. Him and nurkic aren't going to work cause neither is agile enough on d.

If Ariza and hood were healthy I'd think he'd be the ideal fit to start with melo at the 4 and one of hood/ariza at the 3.

Their roster as is and knowing melo is not accepting a role off the bench it's tough but how the roster is built I would still go with him at the 5, collins at the 4 and melo at the 3. Or hezonja at the 3 and melo at the 4.

Let nurkic anchor the scoring of the 2nd unit.

So yes. He should start.

You got Lillard, McCollum, and melo in that lineup looking to get shits up. Need guys that can put defense first and anchor them on d and the glass.

Nurkic is enes kanter. He'd be better served anchoring the offense off the bench. Maybe with a full complement of healthy players you can argue different. Him in the starting lineup is redundant right now. They don't need more scoring in that line up they need defense.

How much have u watched Nurkic???? He is pretty decent on defense. Way better than Whiteside defensively imo.

Comparing him to Kanter is way off.

This lets me know you have no idea how important nurkic is on that team. And that’s fine I don’t fuck with the blazers myself but you should educate yourself a bit
 
If anything Hassan’s D is comparable to Enes Kanter

Nurkic should start for his passing ability, his ability to set screens, hit cutters, and his pick and roll with Dame

hassan is a black hole that gives you 16 points and 17 rebounds and 1 assist while being -14 in net rating

why you think the blazers struggled so much without nurkic? They would be in the playoffs if he was playing and whiteside wasn’t

we started bam and traded hassan for Leonard and took off

Portland lost nurkic gained hassan and went into the dumpster
