I have no idea who they are targeting

But do you feel there is someone that can come in immediately and provide production as a rookie with the rookies from this year and the Laker players brought over in the trade who are considered to be the core?

Do you think any of them will gave a bigger impact than Didi? Cheathem will also probably be brought in from the g league for depth.

Maybe if the pick is high enough, they keep it..idk, but I'm planning on them packaging it for another big name player. Who that is? I couldn't tell you as I'm not that versed in college bball outside of LSU

No my overarching point was you have to consolidate your pieces because you have too many players that are at the same level and then this issue becomes exacerbated by another lotto pick being selected and “Didi” apparently coming over now.

you said that pick would be traded which adds an interesting wrinkle so I thought you had somebody in mind

but I guess that solves the issue

But I could've worded my response better

Everyone outside of the Lakers players and the rookies are pretty much on the table and that includes Jrue as of today. Who knows, things might change when they evaluate the season and who is available in the off-season and who makes sense.

Fwiw, most of the chatter I've seen surrounds Miles Turner. Not sure what his contract situation looks like and what Indiana would want for him assuming he's still under contract.

My point the entire season was he wasn't being moved THIS season which y'all kept trying to will him outta there

If he stays and is part of the teams long term plans, I'm more than happy with that. If not, he will be one of my favorite pelicans ever

Best thing the Pels can do is be patient and not try to rush the situation like they did with AD

New Orleans saw how good Davis was at such a young age and immediately tried to build a contender around him and wasted crucial assets and resources in the process to bring in guys like Asik, Eric Gordon, Tyreke Evans, Alex Ajinca ect

In a vacuum, Evans and Gordon weren't bad acquisitions. They just didn't pan out and didn't put the resources in the team to combat the injuries. The last year of Gordon in the playoffs against GSW is who they envisioned him being

Ryan Anderson wasn’t bad either

After his girlfriend killed herself I imagine it was hard to play basketball for a long time and be okay
