Official 2019-2020 NBA Thread

Me personally I’m not splitting hairs I don’t think he played enough games to be eligible
This is your only criteria between them?

I ask because, and don't let your disdain for Simmons impact the answer, but everyone who thought Mitchell should've won it said that technically, Simmons wasn't a rookie and had been acclimated to the NBA by essentially redshirting his drafted season

I don’t think Ben shoulda won it either for that very same reason. He had an edge over Mitchell

Zion gets an advantage of a scouting report coming out for him much much later in the season than Ja and also his averages being potentially better since it’s a smaller sample size

But if a rookie can play 37 games and win ROY then a player can come off the bench for less than half the season and win 6th man

If yall dont think zion should win based off games played, i can respect that.

But dont bring in scouting reports and advanges into it.

What zion is doing is amazing. 24 and 6 on 60% shooting is something none of us could have predicted and scouting reports got 0 to do with that.

This shit bout to pay for my vacation and yall talking bout scouting reports.

And then Lauri coming back soon, watch these niggas win like 5 or 6 in a row and the front office play the injury excuse on why the team sucks and none of them lose their jobs

For the 6th man, its a built in rule that a player has to come off the bench a minimum of 42 games. ROY doesnt have such rules.
So a rookie of the year can play 20 games and you would be cool with them winning it if they averaged 40 in their 20 games and got their team from 10th seed to 6th seed?

As an example...
