Hopefully my words don't get taken out of context but Toronto showed why you take your chance and worry about everything else later

If Boston thinks Drummond is really gonna help their interior rebounding and defense, and you come off Hayward contract, idk man. Might be worth it

Thats fair but Gasol made a lot more sense for Toronto at the time do to the circumstances with Kawhi.....Drummond routinely gets sonned by Embiid and thats the main reason why they want to bring in a big

Also Toronto didnt give up much a lot for Gasol.....Deleon Wright was a restricted free agent who they had no intent to keep, JV who was being replaced by a Gasol(still had Ibaka) and a second round

Some of it is effort but Drummond isnt a rim protector and hes already shown signs of losing his athleticism

Huge expiring contracts are very valuable especially next season and Hayward has been really good when healthy.....you're going to give that up up for a half season rental of Drummond? Theres better options out there or stick with what you have imo

They can flip Hayward later and get a much better return
