dont do this

i aint cried not one time in this thread or irl about the AD shit

ofc, i know AD is a superstar so miss me with that, however, it sets a precedent. If Iggy and Parsons are healthy and can both play, why isnt the league forcing Memphis to play them especially after Parsons came out petitioning to play

My point is, the pelicans season was lost, and the league forced AD to play despite that. Memphis is in good position to sneak in as a lower seed with Ja and JJJ but imagine, at least what Iggy could provide as a vet and defensive player, how they could be improving game by game. Not in any way suggesting Iggy is gonna take them over the top and win them a chip, but if you not gonna trade him, why is he still on the roster?

I'm sure iggy not complaining b/c he gets to sit at home, rehab, workout, etc and probably gonna end up on a playoff team as the trade deadline approaches or he gets released and gets put on waivers.

ya'll gotta stop looking at everything as somebody crying

i thought ya'll wanted to talk ball?

The situation is different because first AD is a superstar. But thats really not even the main difference. The main difference is that AD asked to be traded, which is a taboo in the league to do publicly. And then his agent came out and gave a list of teams he would accept to get traded too. It was a huge power play in a time where the general public already feel like players have too much power and just been teaming up with each other at will. And then to stop playing AD after the trade deadline passed woulda caused huge pr issues.

So the league had to take precautions and not look like they caved into all their players demands.

If all that stuff was done privately, not playing AD wouldnt have been nearly as big of an issue as it was.

Thats why the situations arent comparable.

Memphis still have Ja and JJJ to put out there for the paying customer to come out and see, what did the Pels have to get the fans to see if AD was sitting home collecting checks. Ain't nobody thinking about Iggy
according to these national pundits, no one was coming to the games anyway despite having AD so...

I respectively disagree but I really appreciate the well thought out response

I responded

I knew that was going to be the answer

s/o to AZTG for putting some meat with the potatoes with his answer though

We didn't need to write paragraphs to say the situations were totally different and that you were on some BS.
