Jazz coming up and The Mavs falling back down to reality

I expect that to be a permanent swap in the standings

If the Grizz could find a way to sneak into the playoffs this season that would be huge for the development of Morant and JJJ just to get a taste of that success.....that postseason experience at that age is underrated just like being in a constant toxic/losing situation can have the adverse effect on your development and have you picking up bad habits and getting used to losing

Donavan Mitchell benefited from that a lot imo

Is that really fair to the mavs though?

While the jazz are missing Conley they have been better w/o him but they also got rid of dead weight Dante and added clarkson

Meanwhile the mavs have had Luka miss a game here and there, porzingis been out and banged up and hardaway been out when the Mavs are nowhere near as deep as the jazz

I don't think the Mavs are going to have some epic fall off or anything like that, they'll still be around that same area but I do think Utah is a much better team

Defense is obviously really good, offense has been getting a lot better mainly because that cac Ingles isn't playing like shit anymore(dude is already back up to 40% from 3) and they plan on leaving him in the starting lineup even when Conley comes back

The reason I hadn't completely written Utah off even despite their struggles with Conley is any combination with 5 of their top 6 players(Gobert, Ingles, Mitchell, Conley, Bogdanovic, O'Neal) has been elite and led the league when it comes to net rating, clutch time rating, plus-minus ect which does say a lot even when you're underperforming

Hmm yeah no I agree with you I just feel like you are writing Dallas off a bit when they been hurt but you’re probably right about how they finish (Sorry no in-depth analysis tonight)

Very informative though
