Man wtf nate got a raw deal imo. Sabonis is out. Warren didnt show up. Oladipo clearly is not 100%. Miles Turner is a bust. Only nigga that showed up was Malcolm Brogdon....smh

Warren played good.

well beyond what he did for his entire career.

Warren played okay

3 factors though:

how he played in the series was in line for how he played this whole season

how he played is massively down from how he played before the playoffs

how he played is good based on the fact that he played with plantar Fasciitis

Nate’s firing in itself is fair but the timing isn’t

He didn’t do himself any favors with how he coached this team to being so aloof in the playoffs, how he whined about the foul calls I think in game 3 but didn’t have his team playing aggressive, how he didn’t put Turner in a position to succeed, and then a bad job with the bench which I noticed in game 4

Played okay?

He played better in the playoffs Bedford the restart.

He played a step down than he did in the seeding games what was expected.

This is why small market teams continue to bottom feed . you can’t just fire a guy & not pay a contract. They signed him to an extension that they will prolly have to honor while paying a new coach. Don't worry, they will give them a #1 pick over the Knicks

Yes because if he averaged 30+ in seeding games but then average 18 in the playoffs while having plantar fasciitis that averages out to being okay overall

what are you talking about he played better in the playoffs than he did before the restart?

he was averaging 20 in 3 months before the restart

No.
It’s time for him to go.

And get WHO? Ty Lue? Jason Kidd? ?They're not taking that job son, unless they significantly outbid the 6ers. They will take have to pull from the college ranks, or luck out on a rising assistant. Either one means a tear up & rebuild

Anyways he didn’t utilize Myles Turner and had him really show up to be who he could be in game 4 when the series was already lost

also didn’t use McConnell enough when he had hurt Miami in the past

I kept seeing him ass jakarr Sampson getting mins though over sumner too

also kept McDermott out there too long when he a liability

don’t get me started on lack of playcalling

Mark Jackson is "blackballed". Whomever in the Warriors office is makin sure the doesn't get interviews. Shoulda been the Knicks 1st dial.
I gotta pull for him I think it could be good for him since he’s familiar with Indy and the job wouldn’t be as scrutinized as it would be if it was a job in NY

can work with some young players too

Pacers took the second least amount of threes and the second most amount of long twos

That's the Nate McMillan experience in a nutshell

Like I said Mcmillian is a high floor low ceiling coach

It is true he had to deal with Oladipo in and out of the lineup and the Sabonis/Turner situation but I feel like if you don't for sure have a top 10-15 coach teams should be more aggressive firing their coach and trying something different
