The only time I held it against him was when they missed 20+ threes, he was suppose to do more than steady jacking threes up but that's it.

I think these events set the tone for why the East was weaker than the West in the early 00’s.
-Grant Hill and Penny Hardaway becoming injury prone and weakening the East pool.
-The majority of the best players from the 95 draft goes to the West. KG goes to the Wolves, Finley goes to the Phx, McDyess to the Nuggets
-Nets passing on Kobe after being scared away by false rumors and the Hornets trading him in a predetermined deal. Peja to the Kings, Nash to the Suns.
- Shaq leaving the Magic in free agency going to the Lakers.
- Celtics having the worst record in the league in 97 but only getting the 4th pick, Spurs get the top pick and draft Duncan.
- Rasheed getting traded from the Bullets to the Blazers
-C Webb getting traded to the Kings for late prime Mitch Richmond
- Dirk to the Mavs

Adidas made up a fake rumor that if the Nets draft Kobe he would go overseas and not play for them. Adidas wanted Kobe with the Lakers for marketing reasons. This scared the Nets so they took Kittles instead.
