The bolded aren’t scrubs.

- Dwight is a HOFamer
- Jason Terry did work against the Prime LBJ Heat in the Finals
- Ariza was a solid piece with championship experience
- Even Josh Smith had talent and athleticism; he’s been an All Star before

That’s roster wasn’t close to elite, but it definitely wasn’t close to this current Dubbs roster either. Poor comparison IMO


This fantasy that certain superstarts can “carry” teams and others can’t is bizarre to me.


Even MJ couldnt carry a team of scrubs to anything meaningful.

Bron is probably Top 3 All Time and he had to do it in a historically bad East.

Revisionist history is cool but... Josh Smith was a fringe NBA player at the time who just got waived and streched by Detroit

Jason Terry was 38 years old and our STARTING poinnt guard.....Our back point guard was the same age

Ariza was a solid defensive player and terrible on offense

Dwight Howard has been on 4 teams since leaving Houston and only played 41 games during the regular season that year(he did show up in the playoffs while he was here)

And they were STILL head and shoulders above this GSW roster.

Every one of those players had extensive NBA experience.

You think that experience helped them get to the WCF? I think I remember “washed up” Josh Smith and other vets hitting some clutch shots and getting key stops in the playoffs en route to the WCF. Harden didn’t score all the points by himself.

Half the Dubs roster are literally children. How many of those players you can’t name are performing like that down the stretch?

How many are helping lead their team to the WCF?

Google what masai did for Giannis and his fam and why they are where they are right now. This has been in the making. If he's leaving Milwaukee it's to come play for masai. Siakam or Giannis can play the 3. Doesn't matter which.

1. I already said this Golden State roster is worse than any of the teams Harden led

2. Josh Smith was literally out of the league after the successful half season and playoff run with Houston....Clippers signed him and was done after like 5 games

3. You have to get to the playoffs first(which is the point) in order for guys like Josh Smith to have a chance to step up the way that he did.....Harden definitely carried that squad for 82 games(like I stated previously Dwight missed 41 games and Smith was a late season pickup)

Yeah that is all fair and I agree with it.

My point mainly stood to argue the notion that this GSW roster is just like any other average to good roster; and if this team is not a serious contenders; it is some massive indictment on Curry.

You will hear this argument made countless times this year.

It’s retarded.
