Nah just simply a woman and man get into an argument

the woman thinks the man is acting a certain way

the man says a bunch of shit to indicate that she’s trippin and she’s the one who’s the offender in the scenario through manipulative tactics

if gaslighting was a person it would be Joe budden if you ever heard him go through an argument with a young lady

The term comes from a movie by the same name I think.
In the movie the husband slowly turns down the gas lights in the house gradually over weeks. Then he pretends like they had always been like that and she's tripping, in an attempt to make her feel like she can't trust her sense and instincts.

So it's just doing something then pretending like the other person is wrong and you didn't do that at all.
