HBK has completely butchered and sabotaged Trick's 2nd title reign which should have been a slam dunk. He's literally done Trick no favors and hasnt helped him grow at all as an in-ring performer. And The fuck is the point of putting Eddie Thorpe in this and making this a triple threat? What was the point of the Iron Survivor then?
Trick or Oba can win without the other eating the pin, both can come out strong while beating the other guy. This works especially for Oba.

Eddie Thorpe a fkin loser that's the only reason they put him in this is to eat the pin for somebody her and then they save the actual Trick vs Oba 1 on 1 for stand and deliver. It'll be a big match with some build up behind it by then then.
Trick did look bad having a draw against Thorpe.

They clearly don’t want Oba winning so soon. They could have just had Thorpe win the iron survivor they didn’t have to go this convoluted ass route & had ppl excited for trick / Oba

Naw I get it. A Oba vs Trick has to be saved for Stand & Deliver on Wrestlemania weekend. Thorpe is just the buffer. Trick could retain by pinning Thorpe, without Oba eating the pin. Which in return Oba would have a case where he feels Trick can't beat him one on one. Then they could let that feud continue towards S&D.
In b/t that time you can throw other distractions in the mix. Have Oba & Trick be forced to tag team against a common foe. Have someone tryin to "force" their way into Oba's spot for the title. Have someone else also trying to go after Trick's title. On & on. Pretty much it's been done b4. There's ways they can spin it, and let their feud simmer until April. I'm just spitballin tho.
At the end tho...I feel the goal is for both of them to face off during WM weekend. It make sense in-ring wise. And it makes sense BUSINESS wise.

And Thorpe winning the Iron Survior would be equivalent to Otis winning MITB. At the end...they would end up giving that title shot away to a better person. Lol!
Now I will say Thorpe recent heel turn does intrigue me. So I'm curious if they putting him in this position now, just to see how he does, for a more potential title push in the future. B/c him being involved now was NOT something I had on the NXT bingo card.
