HHH has a "let hoopers hoop" philosophy when it comes to the main roster... whether or not the push is sustained (like Dragon Lee's, smh) is a whole different discussion.

In all fairness, Gunther and Ilja were tag champs together in WXW, they can bring him up with Gunther having the intention of courting him into Imperium and putting their past NXT UK feud behind them THEN build a big time feud off the back of that.
