It wasnt the same person, the og Sin Cara got injured and they let him go. Another guy played the gimmick til they eventually released him. The fake Sin Cara was the one under the mask 80% of the run.

He previously was playing aome chulo gimmick before he was asked to take over the Sin Cara character
