With KD out for all of next season, and Klay probably next to him, the Dubs aren't threats to win the chip anymore.
So, it all depends on whether the Lakers can get either Kyrie or Kemba. I personally think Kemba's more worth it, but Kyrie's already won a ring with Bron, so that might be his way in.
Also, where Kawhi goes will be the final piece to figuring out who's the contenders and the pretenders. If Kawhi stays in the Six, that makes them the favorites to at least repeat in the East. If he goes to the Clips, then it's a three-team race in the East with Milwaukee, Philly, and Boston, with Los Nets in the the not-too-far background.
