Carson Edwards getting slept on. I think hes one of the 5 best guards in this draft. Woildnt be mad at taking him 16th. The kid is a walking bucket.
 
But Kyrie grew up in NJ

They gotta stop putting so much stock into where a nigga buy a crib.

Plus if I'm the Nets FO I don't want Kyrie on the squad. We already have a lead guard whose trending in the right direction

I thought he was intriguing before you mentioned him last time but for whatever reason as soon as you did I became all in

Like to the point where if it's anybody else, ima be upset

The only other I would be okay with is Sekou but he's not gonna really show dividends for at least two seasons and coming off guys like justise, bam, and j rich I wanna see something a bit more instant as far as offensive impact

Take my advice don't do that. It will only leave you heartbroken on draft night. Last year i was sure we were taking Trae. Thought it was a lock. Now i change the channel when yhe Hawks highlights come on because im still salty hes not on our team. Cast a wide net and keep an open mind. I hated the Isaac pick at the time. DSJ and Tatum were my guys. I love the pick now.

I have said nassir little is trash this entire draft cycle but NH I saw his body the other day and I was like wow man if he actually learned to play he would be amazing.

KZ okpala I kinda like but I'm sure we would have to trade back to possibly justify that pick.

I'm kinda boxed in on KPJ because I do not want to draft a big or a project on offense even though KPJ would have to work on his shot mechanics most likely

D'Antoni breaks off contract talks with Rockets

Houston Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni has ended talks with management about a contract extension.

"We could not come to terms on an extension," D'Antoni told reporters, according to the Houston Chronicle. "I have my contract still. I'm looking forward to the year and having a great season."

D'Antoni said he plans to complete the final season of his deal in 2019-20, which could become a pathway to his own free agency the next year.

D'Antoni's agent, Warren LeGarie, informed Rockets general manager Daryl Morey of the coach's decision on Thursday afternoon, sources said.

There had been conversations constructed around the Rockets' idea of a performance-based extension, but those never gained traction with D'Antoni's camp, sources said.

The successes in his three years on the job -- four Western Conference series victories, a conference finals appearance and an NBA Coach of the Year award -- led D'Antoni to believe that a potential extension would follow the more traditional guaranteed framework of comparable coaching peers.

The Rockets are a franchise in flux, with an entire roster available in trade talks and two high-profile assistant coaches recently told by the organization that they wouldn't be brought back next season.

D'Antoni, 68, told ESPN recently that he had hoped to coach at least three more years.

"I've let Daryl and [owner] Tilman [Fertitta] know that I'm energized to keep coaching -- and believe that I can continue to do this at a high level for at least another three years," D'Antoni said.

"I want to be part of a championship here."

Fertitta called the Rockets' loss in the Western Conference semifinals to the Golden State Warriors "unacceptable." Top assistant Jeff Bzdelik -- who was talked out of retirement in November to address the team's defense -- and respected assistant Roy Rogers weren't brought back for next season by management.

Speaking to the media Thursday, Fertitta indicated he doesn't expect the suspension of talks to hamper the team throughout next season.

"I'm gonna tell you what I think from an owner's perspective, OK? I don't know what 'lame duck' means because he's under contract," Fertitta said. "I think his agent did me a favor, OK, because if for some reason we had a horrible year and we thought we needed to make a coaching change, we just got through paying off one of the other coaches, I believe. So I hope we win a championship and Mike comes and puts a gun to my head."

Morey agreed, saying, "If we could have worked out a deal with Mike, we would have. It happens all the time in sports."

D'Antoni has averaged 58 victories in his three seasons with the Rockets, including four playoff series victories and a trip to Game 7 of the 2018 Western Conference finals. The Warriors eliminated the Rockets the past two seasons.

D'Antoni said he's willing to play out next season without an extension.

"I think we're going to have a great year," D'Antoni said, according to the Chronicle. "And we'll go from there."

At 8 the Knicks could still get Culver or Cam so its not a terrible move. It makes some sense. RJ is obviously a safer pick but theres still a lot of value there.
