In general they should have been more cautious and handled the situation better.

But by all accounts, it appears to really have been a freak accident.

If a player tears his Achilles on a random Tuesday in October, fingers aren’t pointed.

But because it’s the Finals, because of the narratives surrounding the Warriors, because it’s a Threepeat Opportunity, because - 5 Finals in a Row, because of impending Free Agency, because of the Media Scrutiny, because he’s the best player in basketball, because of what Kawhi was doing, because he is super sensitive, because of his fight with Dray, and because he was coming off a lower leg injury .... you get the reaction that you got.

G ain’t nothing freaky about a Achilles injury when the tendon connected to it just strained

They connected. It wasn’t the opposite leg, it was the same leg

He had a bad workout 3 days earlier. If they were up, he wouldn’t have played

Nah they getting rightly criticized cause that shit was cutthroat. I posted that Iggy interview for a reason. It’s a business above all. They understood how severe the calf injury was from jump and he should’ve been ruled out the playoffs. If he was already inked long term, they treat that investment much different. It’s easy to play hindsight doctor but when everyone is pointing out the icing of the whole leg and particularly, the Achilles. It’s not a freak incident

It’s injuries you don’t fuck with, anything close to the Achilles is one of them

The initial injury came from too much wear, you don’t then rush him back. He was playing 40+ minutes running offene through him and guarding perimeter and paint. That’s too much
