I never killed KD for that though, so I personally wont shit on Kawhi either.

At the beginning of the season it's always fun to watch everybody in my opinion because some teams will surprise you early on. Not to mention you are watching to see which players really added stuff to their games over the summer
 
I would like to see KL stay with the Raptors

KD and Irving in NY

Lakers fill out the roster with good players

Houston keep their core in tact.

Klay stay in GS



We would have a very competitive season this year and even more in 2020

He has had a full post season of rest for the first time in like a decade.

The last time we saw him in the Finals he was only outplayed by KD - and not by that much.

Last year he hadn’t really turned it on and his numbers were MVP caliber. They didn’t make a run at the post season beside he got hurt.

Who are you taking over him?

I won’t be too upset if the Knicks strikeout. Once KD tore the Achilles it immediately dampened the excitement and expectations I had earlier in the season. The thought of having the team essentially forfeit a season waiting for KD to come back, while not knowing if he’ll be what he was, doesn’t excite me in the least, although I admittedly still want him to come.
 
The Knicks should have 2 focuses this offseason.

Go for the homerun and try to get KD or Kawhi. If you get them, great.

If not plan two should be signing good role players. Dont overpay for fringe stars, but if you can get someone like Randle or others like him for market value, do that. Get you 2-3 good vets like that and go out and be as competitive as you can be while not fucking up your cap flexibility.

What the Knicks plan cant be is to tank and have the worst record anymore.

Best way to develop young players and culture is by putting them in competitive positions. Focus on putting good players with Knox, RJ, Frank, Mitchel and try to win 35 to games and add more young talent and maybe a star next year.

Just cant tank another season and risk the youngins picking up bad habits.
