It's a short sighted move. Giannis is a 1st ballot hall of fame player and is still playing great basketball.

He will also be 31 in December, relies heavily on his athletic ability and still isn't the best (his mid range has gotten better, but he is still ass from the line) shooter. Not to mention he is making 58 next season and 65 after that. We would have to trade most of the roster to match salary and still have to pay Fox a bunch of money which ties the cap up even more. then we look at the roster and we still have a ton of the same issues we had before with shooting, size, and wing defense. LOL.

if the man was younger, I agree that it is a no brainier to make the trade. He isn't though......... which should give a bit of a pause.

I will not be mad at it, if we do trade for him. especially if we can keep Castle
 
And Giannis is on the market. AD, Kyrie, Klay, and Giannis... that could be interesting.. if everyone is healthy.
 
Man, a lot of teams got screwed this year. The worst being the Jazz, the Wizards and the Pelicans. The Raptors and the Nets too, to a lesser extent.

Here were the odds going in.
