We're in an age where artists doing a Radiohead or a Beyonce (dropping albums without promo) should be more common. A Nas album doesn't need Nas doing the press runs to sell, plus as you've said, Kanye is already putting the word out for him anyway. A Nas album dropped tomorrow is always going to be a success.

They're direct feeds so the quality is as good as you'll get. If you are using Wav you can minimise the app and the music will still play.
