You're saying Nas new shit isn't better than Stillmatic as if any rapper today has an album that's even as good as Stillmatic.

nas is one of my favorite rappers of all time and it’s no secret that Hov is who I think is the GREATEST rapper of all time (ability/skill, catalog, influence, longevity/consistency, era transcendence combined).

here’s the thing about Nas’s latest run. I enjoy it and I’m inspired by it however, the newer albums don’t have the “stick to your ribs” factor to them. The last Nas album that gave me that feeling is Life Is Good. It’s crazy because I’d go as far as to say that Nas raps “better” and has improved somehow as a rapper thru Kings Disease 2 & Magic, but the songs aren’t nearly as great overall. Maybe in a few years I’ll run the new albums back and be wrong but I dunno. I still want to listen to songs from earlier albums or even whole earlier albums from Nas but the new stuff, as good as it is…not so much.

How many albums in the last 10 years have that "stick to your ribs factor"? I would say 5 at most and that's being extremely generous.

This rundown is crazy🤣🤣 outside of kendrick NONE of these dudes have a classic hiphop album none of them. They're getting praise because they're the hot thing right now. Outside of kendrick which one of them has a song on the same lvl as a one mic. These rappers don't make music that last. Imo🤣🤣🤣
 
I wonder how this will switch when jay drops.
I mean I count jay electronica album as a jay album. Jay was getting busy on that joint. So his skill is still sharp.
Funny how outta the blue 4:44 is wack🙄. There's been a lot of jay slander since KD dropped. Ion like it nor respect it.
But nas has definitely closed the gap between the 2. Jay might have hits and sales but that was his goal. Nas went a different route and still remained jays comp even when he wasn't at his best (Streets Disciple).
Oh and I thought euro jay was bp2 jay ?? He started that when he came back from vacation to diss nas and stop the cam rocafella presidential run
