Jaime didnt fully turn and Tyrion did kill his pops although Tywin was going to kill him. But the Lannisters, Greyjoys, and Baratheons are all bad examples of families. And Karstarks. But i can't blame them my immediate family has to come first over cousins and uncles.
 
After the Dark- at the end of the world, doctors and scientists are nice and all, but you'd wanna save the people you love/people who make you happy, not the people who only serve to educate you to death.

I meant Tyrion but your response basically contradicts your initial post

The Starks are probably the only good example of a true family but everyone else has ulterior motives

Maybe he noticed how shitty most the families are to each other and that made him appreciate the value of his own.

the wire showed me how it was all connected, and showed how no matter how many people want to stop the problems plaguing the communities, they're never going to go away because the people at the top of the food chain feed off of the negativity
