The truth is in the FBI's definition, not the media's. According to the FBI, there were 48 active shooter incidents last year, of which 3 occurred at a school. Compare this to 604 reported in the media. All those extras were not mass shootings in the way the FBI defines it.

Also there is higher frequency in mass shooting at schools and because of that it’s normalized in the USA compared to other countries.

Including gang shootings and street shit in the numbers makes "mass shootings" a Black issue. We all know that what are classically known to be "mass shootings" are perpetrated by whites, so by changing it to include gang and street shit in how its defined you shift the perps from white men to Black men.

A gang shooting at a let out that kills 3 and injuries 5 should be included as a mass shooting.
Just like a school shooting killing 2 and injury 3 people is one too.
Either way, what remains is that (gun violence)is normalized and an accepted part of American society.

Mass shootings have historically included "intent" as a defining aspect of it. A nigga that saw his ops at a party and shoots at 'em but accidentally kills others lacks the same intent that someone walking into a mall, grocery store, school, etc with the sole purpose of indiscriminately killing as many people as he/she can.
It's definitely not accepted or normalized in society either. If it was, there wouldn't still be a public outcry over them. This is unlike the constant bombings that happened from the late 60's through the mid 70's where eventually reports of bombings on the nightly news were met with yawns. It was so normalized that a movie theater in NYC had a bomb detonated in the building and people inside actually argued with the cops that told them to evacuate 'cause the movie was still going and they wanted to finish watching it. When the cops insisted they all leave, they rioted and tore the theater apart. That's "normalized and accepted".
The definition is silly in my opinion to get caught up on.

Mass shooting should be a shooting event that resulted in multiple casualties.
The intent, shouldn’t hold much weight here when we are talking about multiple casualties caused by someone action which was shooting a gun at someone.l it even groups of people.
There’s string evidence and examples that it’s normalized.
You can look at this thread, and others on mass casualty shooting events. They rarely get into triple digits. I get that’s a small example but it speaks to the point below
Of course people are outrage, saddened etc, and they express the words of that. At the sametime, the words never materializes into action.
Wisconsin School Shooter's TikTok Account Deleted After ADL Complaints
A TikTok account that potentially belonged to the Wisconsin school shooter is now deleted on the heels of complaints about racist comments on the page ... TMZ has learned.

We confirmed with the ADL the username its people observed was @targetedbloodsport -- and according to them, the account featured the phrase, "Totally nice day," similar to "Totally normal day" ... which the ADL claims is used by racists or white supremacists.
It says it's code for "TND" or "total N-word death."
Shortly after TMZ reached out to TikTok asking for more information about the account -- it was deleted ... with no explanation.
