Seems like an over hyped story to get clicks, thats gunna get people hurt. If i were to guess, someone found gold and all the villagers rushed to the area digging hoping they find gold too. Cuz all theyre doing is grabbing random dirt and taking it home, hoping to find gold too.

What crazy is gold is expensive, and im sure they're ripping them off when they go to sell it. Probably only getting a fraction of what its worth.
