I think the fact they treated Cena's heel turn as a company wide issue on RAW was the best they could do to follow-up considering the circumstances. Cody will address it Friday and depending on how that goes I think they should be fine. People will be anticipating that first Cena promo anyways so they not gonna be losing any momentum.

Best thing they've did was replaying that moment on Raw. Kept it fresh in everyone's mind. Now folks are gonna be anticipating what's gonna happen Friday. So they fo'sho gonna tune in to SD.

Honestly like I said during Raw it would of hit much harder and probably had more eyes on the promo had Cena came out Monday and explained the same way Hulk Hogan did when he came out that next Nitro and cut the promo while it is still fresh out the oven in hype.

Its not even a debate tbh its just common sense you strike while shit is flaming hot to maximize the benefits but since Cena had to go back filming I understand why they had to pivot. But this isn't an example of WWE letting something "simmer" lol it's the key players aren't available for 2 weeks so the pause button is hit.

I hope WWE got something more than “hey, let’s make it Seth vs Roman at Mania… but uhoh Punk has his favor from Paul Heyman… now it’s a triple threat!”. The match itself should be good but I can’t think of too many 3 way matches without a title on the line that actually are worth the build and the watch.
