Welcome To aBlackWeb

Monday Night Raw: 6/17

You literally just explained why they pivoted lmao. It was TKO's board vs HHH and HHH won. I promise you it's not the big brain play you think it is.
Pivoting would require Rock, Hunter, Cody, Roman, Heyman et al. To be categorically dumb. There's not 1 person alive who would think the fans would go along with them changing their main storyline at the last possible moment with no story reason given at that.

What was the story even for Rock challenging Roman? Roman hasn't even been gaslighting the family since Summerslam. The bloodline didn't need saving. Rock stated he could've faced Roman at 39 but the story wasn't right and yet he was just gonna waltz in and change the stated main event when there was no storyline reason at all?

And people buy this shit. Why Because Rock is entitled and tone deaf? Gee, just like the wrestling character he is playing on TV?

I don't know how to explain this to you guys any better, but wrestling is a work. It's not real. If what you're seeing is suddenly bringing them 200 MILLION VIEWS, it's umm probably not by accident. They didn't bring in Rock, build Roman for 4 years, and Cody for 2 just to throw it away haphazardly. You don't change the Main Event to goddamn wrestlemania over a weekend because of some mean tweets.

Did you miss the part where I said TKO promised Rock a main event? None of this has anything to do with that.

They don't give a fuck about creative, they care about drawing money. The Rock draws money. They tried to change the plans and got told to fuck off by the fans.

How are you not seeing the pivot?

Acting like WWE didn't actually have genuine contempt for it's fanbase at the time Dragon got put in WM30's main is a very funny bit though.
Yup that's why they had Cena put over Bryan clean at Summerslam.
That's why they had the Authority formed by screwing Bryan, literally snatching his crowning moment away from him.
That's why they spent the entirety of the fall continuing Bryan's chase of the title he was screwed over.
That's why they had him in the ring for a title unification ceremony (whatever the hell that is) that led to the fans chanting for him during the whole segment.
That's why the last Raw of the year closed out with Bryan conflicted on rather he should continue fighting.
That's why they had Batista swoop in and take the title shot at Mania (sorta like Rock is doing now, hmm)

yall been getting worked. Contempt for the audience while they running an occupy WWE storyline against the on air Authority. And here we go 10 years later and folks is falling for it again.

Because they didn't just decide this shit on a whim. So they wanted Rock to main event Mania? If only there were a mechanism that would have allowed him to do so. Oh wait.

So why did Cody win the Rumble? They pick the winner yknow. Punk was supposed to fight Seth. And Rock was supposed to fight Roman. So umm, what was gonna happen with Cody??

You typed out all the reasons why they pivoted and credited it to the company LMAO.

Are you going to realise that Cody was booked as the rumble winner in spite of what TKO promised Rock or is it still "a work"?

Imma be honest wit yall...I kinda got lost on this whole argument. I dunno who to give the proper reactions to that supports my statement. I'm giving thumbs down to everyone from here on out.

What pivot my good man. The one where they gave Rock 30 million dollars and a spot on the board BEFORE the royal rumble and then booked the Rumble for Cody to win?

What do you think happened here? They gave Rock the board spot on condition that he main event Mania. Then booked Cody to be the first back to back winner since Stone Cold in a continuation of a story they've been telling non stop for a year straight. All the while knowing they were gonna put Seth with Punk and Rock with Roman and Cody with ??? And this makes sense to you.

Why not just book Punk to win then? Why not just have Rock *gasp* actually earn the mania main event by winning the Rumble? Avoid the whole backlash completely. No, they took the literal path that led to fan revolt which in turn made Cody a even bigger babyface and produced their single most watched event EVER... by accident.

And this makes sense to you...?

Nigga you keep saying "They promised the Rock a main event and THEY booked Cody to win the Rumble"

TKO brought the Rock in
Hunter booked Cody

These are two separate entities
CLEARLY TKO and Hunter were not on the same page

What are you not getting here?
