it was kinda telegraphed that it would be Jey / Cody once it was announced that Jey was the mystery opponent.

I'm not totally mad at it since Jey / Cody have their history and it being a semi final match isnt aggressively offensive.

Well not’s not like dudes who lose belts don’t get rematches it’s been done before. A lot of the time it’s automatic. It is what it is but if we getting both Cody/Cena and Gunther/Jey at Summerslam then this whole tournament was a waste of time lol.

I can’t recall in the HHH era the last time a champion who lost their title got a rematch right after that. I heard on a podcast he doesn’t like doing those rematches

Also I don’t think Jey is winning KOR and if it’s Cody / Cena at Summerslam I mean, he earned it cause he won KOR and I think folks figured Cody / Cena was very possible for Summerslam anyway
